Students emerge from the Natural Resources and Environmental Science (NRES) B.S. program at the University of Kentucky with the necessary knowledge, technical skills, and professional experience that together lay the groundwork for success in pursuing entry-level employment in natural resource conservation and management, restoration ecology, sustainability, environmental quality, environmental policy, urban planning, climate science and renewable energy, along with other emerging areas. Job opportunities in these fields are rapidly growing in response to a changing global climate and interconnected world economy.
